FAQ

The Basics

Is Medical Marijuana Legal for personal use?
Medical cannabis is legal under state and local law. Voters in California legalized the use, cultivation, and possession of cannabis for those with a doctor’s recommendation or approval when they adopted Proposition 215 in 1996, also known as The Compassion Use Act.

Within California, the Act allows for the recommendation by a physician for the medical use of marijuana by a patient, and the cultivation, transportation, and use of marijuana for medical purposes by patients and caregivers. The Compassionate Use Act exempts patients, caregivers, and physicians who recommend the use of marijuana for medical purposes from criminal laws, punishment, or the denial of any rights or privileges.

Senate Bill (SB) 420 (Chapter 875, Statutes of 2003) was written into law in December of 2003 (see California Health and Safety Code, Article 2.5, Sections 11362.7 through 11362.83) and is part of California law to this date.

Cannabis 101

What is Indica?
Indica originally come from the hash producing countries of the world like Afghanistan, Tibet and Morocco. Indica flowers will be thick and dense, with flavors and aromas ranging from pungent skunk to spicy and fruity. Indica generally create a body high that is relaxing and medicinal. Indica have higher CBD than THC count, which equals a much heavier sleepy type of high that is good for a variety of medical problems.
Indica may treat:
Anxiety
Pain
Nausea
Appetite Stimulation
Sleep
Muscle Spasms and Tremor
What is Sativa?
Sativa originally come from Mexico, Colombia, Thailand and Southeast Asia. They have flavors that range from earthy to sweet and fruity. Sativa has a higher THC than CBD count, which equals a more cerebral, soaring type of high. Sativa has an energetic high, which can stimulate brain activity and may even produce hallucinations. They can be very beneficial for people with depression and anxiety.
Sativa may treat:
Appetite Stimulation
Relieving Depression
Migraines
Pain and Nausea
What is Hybrid?
Hybrid: Hybrids are created to keep certain desired characteristics from Indica and Sativa plants. By altering the ratio of indica and sativa influences, growers can breed hybrids for a particular high, flavor, and aroma. Most marijuana varieties available today are hybrids as they bring together the best of both Indica and Sativa marijuana characteristics.
Hybrids may treat:
What is THC?
THC is the best-known cannabinoid and is the primary psychoactive compound. It has also been found to be neuroprotective with pain relieving effects.

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana’s psychological effects. It acts much like the cannabinoid chemicals made naturally by the body, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
Cannabinoid receptors are concentrated in certain areas of the brain associated with thinking, memory, pleasure, coordination and time perception. THC attaches to these receptors and activates them and affects a person’s memory, pleasure, movements, thinking, concentration, coordination, and sensory and time perception, according to NIDA.
THC is one of many compounds found in the resin secreted by glands of the marijuana plant. More of these glands are found around the reproductive organs of the plant than on any other area of the plant. Other compounds unique to marijuana, called cannabinoids, are present in this resin. One cannabinoid, CBD is nonpsychoactive, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, and actually blocks the high associated with THC.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol or CBD is a non-psychotropic cannabinoid compound with enormous therapeutic potential.

Cannabinoids are chemicals that trigger the cannabinoid (and other) receptors in the brain and body.

CBD Molecule

CBD has been shown to have strong anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasm, anti-convulsant, anti-psychotic, anti-tumoral, and neuro-protective properties. CBD directly activates serotonin receptors, causing an anti-depressant effect as well.

Scientific and clinical studies have shown that CBD could be therapeutic for many conditions, including chronic pain, cancer, anxiety, diabetes, epilepsy, rheumatoid arthritis, PTSD, sleep disorders, alcoholism, cardiovascular disease, antibiotic-resistant infections, and neurological ailments.
What is CBN?
Cannabinol (CBN) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found only in trace amounts in Cannabis Pharmacologically relevant quantities are formed as a metabolite of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) . CBN acts as a partial agonist at the CB1 receptors, but has a higher affinity to CB2receptors, however; with lower affinities in comparison to THC. Degraded or oxidized cannabis products, such as low-quality baled cannabis and traditionally produced hashish, are high in CBN, but modern production processes minimize the formation of CBN. Cannabinol has been shown to have analgesic properties.

Unlike other cannabinoids, CBN does not stem from cannabigerol (CBG). There is no clinical evidence that THC breaks down naturally into CBN once the THC has become decarboxylated and forms delta-9 THC. CBN is formed by decarboxylation of CBNA.
What are Edibles?
Edibles are a discreet and convenient way to consume cannabis, particularly for those who cannot tolerate smoke.
Made by infusing cannabis with food, many find that edibles offer a high that is more calm and relaxing than smoking pot. On the other hand, the effects of edibles can be hard to predict and tend to differ between individuals.
Before sinking your teeth into edibles, do yourself a favor and get to know the facts.
What are Edibles?

When thinking of edibles, marijuana brownies usually spring to mind. But edibles actually come in many shapes and sizes. These include cookies, gummies, cakes, hard candies, chocolate bars and more.

Unlike smoking cannabis, where cannabinoids enter the body through the lungs, edibles introduce cannabinoids through the gastrointestinal tract. The result is a high that is more intense and lasts much longer.

Some edible products are manufactured to contain as much as 100 milligrams of THC, and therefore should be used for multiple servings. Other edibles have lower dosages of THC such as 5 or 10 milligrams.

Effects of Edibles

There are differences between eating and smoking cannabis that should be kept in mind. This is because the active ingredients are absorbed by different parts of the body.
The most traditional form of ingestion is smoking marijuana by pipe, joint or bong. The effect from smoking pot generally affects users immediately, but also begins to diminish immediately.
Marijuana edibles take longer to start working — usually 30 to 60 minutes. However, the effects can last between 4 to 12 hours depending on the dose.
Edibles are often a preferred method for ingesting cannabis because of the negative impact smoking has on one’s health. Additionally, edibles can be discreetly consumed in places where smoking is not allowed.
The high that accompanies edibles tends to be more relaxing than the high experienced through smoking, giving you more of a “body” high rather than a “head” high.

Problems & Complications

What if My Meds are Short?
All meds are pre-weighed and triple checked for accuracy at our location on state sanctioned scales. We often over weigh our denominations slightly just to ensure that no accidental under weighing will occur. You are free to weigh your meds out for you while the driver is in your presence to verify that you are in fact receiving your requested weight. If you choose not to have the driver weigh your meds out for you then that is fine as well. We are confident that the meds you will be donating will be at your requested weight if not slightly more. Once the driver leaves your delivery address and your donation has been exchanged for the meds, we will consider the transaction closed and final.
What if I don't Have My Money Ready in Time?
OG Deliveries must be paid on delivery to our sales staff using COD (Cash On Delivery). We accept exact cash donations plus voluntary tip amounts, however to enhance the safety and security of our drivers and members we carry a small amount of change, no more than $20 at a time if that. This will minimize the chance for any criminal activity, ensure precise booking and tax remittance, as well as ensure safe transaction environment for both you and our delivery concierge.
What if I'm not Satisfied with My Meds?
We take a lot of pride in the meds we offer to our patients and potential patients. Although an extremely rare occurrence, we do understand that a difference of opinion may occur between our staff and our patients in regards to quality. We can accept and appreciate this fact. Please be sure to inspect the meds presented to you to ensure your satisfaction BEFORE you decide to make your donation. You are always free to refuse our service if you find it is not up to your standards. Unfortunately, once the driver leaves your delivery address and your donation has been exchanged for the meds, we will consider the transaction closed and final. Refunds, exchanges or credits are not offered under any circumstance.
